Viticulture: Essential Edition is one of the most-loved worker placement games in existence. Published by Stonemaier Games, Viticulture is known for its top quality components. It’s also loved for its pleasant theme of making wine in a Tuscany setting. Visit From the Rhine Valley is a small but mighty expansion for the base game.

Visit From the Rhine Valley is a deck of 80 Visitor Cards. These cards are the same size as the cards that come in the base game of Viticulture. These Visitors work in a similar way – you acquire them in the same fashion. You can collect them by visiting certain worker placement spots on the board. Or, you could pick some up depending on your order in the Wake Up track.

The original Visitor Cards offer points that bypass the wine-making process. But not in Visit From the Rhine Valley! The difference here is that these cards drive the focus back towards your wine business. These cards return the theme of winemaking to the forefront. Designed by Jamey Stegmaier and Tido Lorenz, you’ll take delight in trying out yet more new strategies.

To enjoy a different variant of the Viticulture experience, you should keep these Rhine Valley cards separate from the default visitor cards.
